Cuddesdon

Village in Oxfordshire, England, 9 km/6 mi southeast of Oxford; population (2001, Cuddesdon and Denton) 500. Cuddesdon is the site of an Anglican theological college. The palace of the bishops of Oxford was in Cuddesdon from the late 17th century, but burned down in the 1960s.
