Culver City

City in Los Angeles County, southwestern California, USA, 10 km/6 mi west of downtown Los Angeles; population (1990) 38,800. MGM/United Artists, one of the leading US film studios, based here, is a leading employer, as is Los Angeles International Airport, just to the south. Culver City's industries include aircraft, electronic equipment, machine tools, house trailers, plastics, rubber products, and cosmetics.

It is the seat of West Los Angeles College (1968).
