Cunningham, John Henry Dacres (1885–1962)| British admiral in World War II. He was commander-in-chief in the Mediterranean 1943–46, First Sea Lord 1946–48, and became admiral of the fleet in 1948. KCB 1941. |
| In 1940 he assisted in the evacuation of Norway and, as Fourth Sea Lord in charge of supplies and transport 1941–43, prepared the way for the North African invasion in 1942. |
