Cure, the

English rock band. Formed in 1976, they were part of the goth pop scene and have proved enduringly popular with fans. Led by singer-songwriter Robert Smith (1959- ), they enjoyed a string of hits in the early 1980s, including ‘Love Cats’ and ‘Let's Go to Bed’, all of which were collected on the anthology album Staring at the Sea (1986).

Their other albums include Three Imaginary Boys (1979), The Head on the Door (1985), Wish (1992), Wild Mood Swings (1996), Bloodflowers (2000), and The Cure (2004).
