Curtis, Edward (Sheriff) (1868–1954)

US photographer. From 1896–1930 he travelled across North America to take stylized portraits of American Indians from 80 different tribes in traditional dress, publishing 20 volumes and portfolios of photos 1930–54.

He was born in White Water, Wisconsin.
