Cuyo Islands

Volcanic archipelago in Palawan province of the Philippines, situated in the Sulu Sea between the islands of Palawan and Panay; area 130 sq km/50 sq mi. There are about 40 islands, chief of which is Cuyo, surrounded by coral reefs. Coconuts, rice, and cashew nuts are grown, and there is seaweed farming on Tinituan Island.
