Cziffra, György (1921–1994)
| Hungarian-born French pianist. He studied at the Liszt Academy in Budapest with Dohnányi, and was a recitalist before his war service. He was a political prisoner during the early 1950s and escaped to France in 1956. He was best known in the music of Liszt, Chopin, and Schumann. |
