Déroulède, Paul (1846–1914)

French politician and writer. A fiercely anti-German nationalist, he instituted the Ligue des Patriotes in 1882 and tried to use it to promote the cause of Georges Boulanger. The league was suppressed by the government in 1889 as a political menace. He became notorious for the violence of his anti-Dreyfus policy.
