Dahmer, Jeffrey Lionel

    0.04 sec.

Dahmer, Jeffrey Lionel (1960–1994)

US serial killer. He admitted to acts of dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism to 17 men and boys, and at his trial in 1992 he was sentenced to 15 life sentences. He was beaten to death by a fellow prisoner.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he began drinking heavily at the age of 14 and murdered his first victim shortly after leaving high school. He joined the US army in January 1979 but by 1981 had been discharged for excessive drinking. He turned to killing again, murdering and dismembering young men and dissolving their bodies in acid. When he was captured in 1991, the police discovered the remains of at least 11 people in a barrel, the fridge, and the filing cabinet.
