Dalhousie

Town and administrative headquarters of Restigouche County, extreme north New Brunswick, Canada; population (1991) 4,77. It is situated at the head of Chaleur Bay, at the mouth of the Restigouche River, 21 km/13 mi east-northeast of Campbellton. A fishing port with paper and chemical plants, it is also near both lead and zinc mines and resort beaches.
