Daloa

Town in central Côte d'Ivoire, 120 km/75 mi west of Yamoussoukro; population (1998) 173,100, (2007 calc) 227,800. The town is the administrative centre of Daloa province and is a centre of timber production. It is also a commercial centre for crops such as kola nuts, coffee, cocoa, cassava, yams, and rice.

The town is linked by road to Séguéla to the north, Issia and Gagnoa to the south, Bouaflé to the east, and Duékoué and Man to the west. Marahoué National Park, noted as a wildlife reserve, lies to the northeast of Daloa.
