Dalswinton

Village in Dumfries and Galloway unitary authority, Scotland, on Dalswinton Loch, 10 km/6 mi north of Dumfries. In 1788 the first steamboat to be built was tested on the loch by its designer William Symington. The Scottish poet Robert Burns was present at the launch.
