Danco, Suzanne (1911–2000)

Belgian soprano. She studied at the Brussels Conservatory, and in 1936 she won an international singing competition in Venice. She made her debut in Genoa, in 1941, as Fiordiligi. She sang Mimi at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, in 1951, and Donna Elvira at Glyndebourne the same year. Other roles included Ellen Orford and Marie. She was a noted exponent of Ravel and Debussy.
