Dane, Nathan

Dane, Nathan (1752–1835)

US legal scholar. He was a delegate to the Continental Congress (1785–87) and was elected to the Massachusetts state senate (1790–98). He revised many Massachusetts laws and wrote General Abridgment and Digest of American Law (1823).

He was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts and had a long career of public service.
