Daniels, Sarah (1957– )

British dramatist. Her plays explore feminist issues, and include Ripen Our Darkness (1981), Masterpieces (1983), Byrthrite (1987), Neaptide (1984), Beside Herself (1990), and Head-Rot Holiday (1992), concerning women condemned to mental institutions.

She adapted Pat Barker's Blow Your House Down to stage in 1985. The following year, Daniels's Neaptide was the first lesbian play staged at the Royal National Theatre.
