David II

David II (1324–1371)

King of Scotland from 1329, son of Robert (I) the Bruce. David was married at the age of four to Joanna, daughter of Edward II of England. In 1346 David invaded England, was captured at the battle of Neville's Cross, and imprisoned for 11 years.

III defeat Scotland's King David II more or less on the site of the present Durham Johnston School.
After Douglas was killed in Moorish Spain, Bruce's son, King David II, ordered the heart to be buried at Melrose Abbey.
