Davies, Arthur Bowen (1862–1928)

US painter. Absorbing many influences, that of Pierre Puvis de Chavannes in particular, he painted fantastic landscape idylls. Unicorns 1906 (Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York) is typical. He was one of the main organizers of the Armory Show of 1913.
