Davis, Judy (1955– )

Australian stage and film actor. A versatile and highly talented performer, she appeared in such films as Passage to India (1984), Naked Lunch (1991), and Husbands and Wives (1992). Other films include Absolute Power (1997) and Celebrity (1998).

She was born in Perth, Western Australia and, after graduating from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1977, began her stage career in Adelaide, South Australia. Her first film was My Brilliant Career (1979). She also appeared in Who Dares Wins (1982), Barton Fink (1991), and The Ref (1994), and in a variety of television films, for example biopics of July Garland (2001) and the Reagans (2003).
