Italian actor and dramatist. He founded his own company in Naples 1932, which was strongly influenced by the commedia dell'arte, and for which he wrote many plays. These include his finest comedies, Filumena Marturano 1946, Napoli milionaria! 1945, Questi fantasmi!/These Ghosts! 1946, Grande magia/Grand Magic 1951, and Saturday, Sunday, Monday 1959.
