DeVos, Richard Marvin (1926- )

US marketing executive. He co-founded the Michigan-based Amway Corporation, manufacturing and distributing household products. Amway became a billion-dollar international corporation, but it attracted controversy for its pyramid sales structure and cultist motivational techniques.

He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and had a 10-year career in direct selling before founding his company.
