US marketing executive. He co-founded the Michigan-based Amway Corporation in 1959, manufacturing and distributing household products, and stepped down as president in 1992. Amway became a billion-dollar international corporation, although it attracted controversy for its pyramid sales structure and cultist motivational techniques.
