Debrett's Peerage

Directory of the British peerage, first published in 1802 by John Debrett (1753-1822) under the title Peerage of England, Scotland and Ireland, but based on earlier compilations. Debrett aimed to avoid spurious genealogies and confine himself to authenticated facts.
