Deburau, Jean Baptiste Gaspard (1796–1846)

Bohemian-born French actor and mime artist. He introduced the Pierrot into his performances and was taken on by the Théâtre des Funambules 1820–46, quickly becoming the rage of Paris. His son Charles uburau (1829–1873) was also a pierrot at the Funambules.
