Deerfield Beach

Town in Broward County, southeast Florida; population (1990) 46,300. It is situated 24 km/15 mi north of Fort Lauderdale, on the Atlantic Coast. A popular beach-front vacation community, it is also a processing and shipping centre for numerous nearby truck farms.
