Deighton, Len (Leonard Cyril) (1929– )English author of spy fiction. His novels include The Ipcress File (1962), Funeral in Berlin (1964), An Expensive Place to Die (1967), and the trilogy Berlin Game, Mexico Set, and London Match (1983–85), featuring the spy Bernard Samson. Otherw works include Only When I Larf (1968) and the trilogies Spy Hook (1988), Spy Line (1989), and Spy Sinker (1990) and Faith (1994), Hope (1995), and Charity (1996).
