Deltona

Residential community in Volusia County, east-central Florida; population (1990) 50,800. It is situated on Lake Monroe and many smaller lakes, midway between Orlando to the southwest and Daytona Beach to the northeast.

Baker of Deltona, Florida, who says he and his wife are very disappointed by the sex-abuse scandals but are holding out in hope that things will get better and that the influence and inclusion of laypeople will increase.
As reported in Florida's Marco Island Eagle, the times have changed since the Deltona Corporation laid out plans for Marco Island, and set aside a plot for a commercial marina in an undeveloped area 40 years ago.
