Denison

City in Grayson County, northeast Texas, near the Red River, 115 km/71 mi north of Dallas; population (1990) 21,500. A distribution centre for grain and dairy products, its industries include electronic equipment, textiles, wood products, and food processing.

Denison was settled in 1872 and incorporated in 1891. It is the birthplace of President Dwight D Eisenhower.
