1) In children, retropharyngeal lymphadenitis and RPA occur secondary to an adjacent focus of infection such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, dental infection and adenitis.
Regular dental care is important post-transplant, as immunosuppression can increase the risk of dental infection and gingivival hyperplasia.
