One-on-one unstructured interview with no prepared questions. The depth interview is used as a qualitative analysis tool in marketing research. The interviewee is part of a sample selected according to predetermined criteria. The interviewer allows the interviewee to do most of the talking ensuring only that certain predetermined points are covered.
