Darnah

Coastal town and seaport in Libya, 300 km/186 mi northeast of Benghazi; population (2001 est) 116,900. It is situated on a bay which is frequently inaccessible during spring and winter owing to seasonal storms, in an oasis of date palms and banana trees.
