Deutekom, Cristina (1932– )

Dutch soprano. Her coloratura was admired in Mozart's Queen of the Night on her debuts at the New York Metropolitan Opera House (1967) and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London (1968). She sang Bellini's Elvira at Buenos Aires in 1972 and returned to the Metropolitan Opera House for Verdi's Hélène, in 1974. Other roles included Rossini's Armida, Verdi's Odabella and Giselda, and Mozart's Constanze.
