Deux Journées, Les

Opera by Luigi Cherubini (libretto by J N Bouilly), first produced at the Théâtre Feydeau, Paris, France, on 16 January 1800. In the story, the fugitive Armand and his wife Constance are helped by the water-seller Mikéli. After several incidents Armand must reveal his identity to save Constance, but at that moment news arrives that the ban against the couple has been lifted.
