Diallo, Boubacar Telli (1929–1977)

Guinean politician and first secretary general of the Organization of African Unity (OAU; later African Union). After independence he became Guinea's first permanent representative to the United Nations (UN). He was OAU secretary general 1964–72, and later became minister of justice. He was implicated in a coup plot, was imprisoned without trial, and died of starvation in 1977.
