Dille, John Flint

Dille, John Flint (1884–1957)

US newspaper syndicate executive. He founded the National Newspaper Syndicate to distribute the work of prominent journalists at low cost to newspapers. He introduced ‘Buck Rogers’ in 1929. At one point, 287 newspapers in 40 countries carried the comic strip.

Born in Dixon, Illinois, the son of an educator, he attended the University of Chicago.
