Dimbleby, David

Dimbleby, David (1938– )

English broadcaster and presenter. He presents the topical news programmes Question Time and Panorama for BBC television. He joined the BBC in 1960 and has presented the BBC election and results programmes for all the general elections since 1979. He won an Emmy Award in 1991 for his television documentary The Struggle for South Africa, and has provided live commentary on many public occasions, including the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997. He is the son of Richard Dimbleby.
