Dobbs Ferry

Town in Westchester County, southeast New York; population (1990) 9,900. It is locate between the Hudson River, to the west, and Saw Mill River, to the east, and is 32 km/20 mi north of New York City. It is named after a ferry operated by William Dobbs in the 18th century, and is a residential suburb of New York City.
