DobermannBreed of smooth-coated dog with a docked tail, much used as a guard dog. It stands up to 70 cm/27.5 in tall, has a long head with a flat, smooth skull, and is often black with brown markings. It takes its name from the man who bred it in 19th-century Germany. | One of Senju's students, Ramiro Joly-Mascheroni, spent five minutes catching the eye of subjects ranging from dachshunds to Dobermans and giving wide, sighing yawns. In the latest research, Senju's team recruited 29 pet owners and their dogs - labradors, border collies, yorkshire terriers and dobermans. Dobermans can be variations of color, however most people recognize the black color of this breed. |
