The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), in partnership with NIST, released the first version of the Document Object Model (DOM) Conformance Test Suite, Level 1 Core. XHTML documents can also run processes (scripts and applets) that are based on the HTML Document Object Model (DOM) or the XML DOM. This is due to the powerful Document Object Model at its centre that provides access to conversion, optimization, and to both page and object level information, providing the ability to add, modify or delete document and object elements. |
