Dodge, Joseph Morrell (1890-1964)

US banker and government official. He become chairman of the Detroit Bank, later Detroit Bank and Trust, and was a US government financial advisor in Germany. He designed an economic stability plan that was responsible for Japan's post-war industrial rehabilitation.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan. In Japan, he worked under General Douglas MacArthur and he became director of the federal budget (1952-54).
