Doles, Johann Friedrich (1715–1797)

German organist and composer. He was a pupil of Bach at Leipzig from 1739, and cantor of St Thomas's School there from 1756 in succession to Harrer. He performed Bach's motet Singet dem Herrn for Mozart, when the latter visited Leipzig in 1789.
