Domodossola

Town in Piedmont region, northern Italy, on the River Doce, 75 km/47 mi northwest of Novara; population (1991) 18,900. Lying 40 km/25 mi southeast of the head of the Simplon Pass, it is an international border point, and chief town of the Ossola valleys.

The only priest to list date and place of publication with any consistency was Antonio Magisto, a thirty-seven year old chaplain and schoolmaster at Cravegna in 1658, who had studied at Domodossola and under the Jesuits at Novara.
