Doneraile

Village in County Cork, Republic of Ireland; population (2002) 1,400. It is situated on the River Awbeg, about 6 km/4 mi northeast of Mallow. The land around here, once part of the poet Edmund Spenser's estate, is a forest park. The former Spenser residence, Kilcolman Castle, 5 km/3 mi to the north, is a wildfowl reserve.
