Dorian

People of ancient Greece. They entered Greece from the north and took most of the Peloponnese from the Achaeans, perhaps destroying the Mycenaean civilization; this invasion appears to have been completed before 1000 BC. Their chief cities were Sparta, Argos, and Corinth.
