Dorn, Heinrich (Ludwig Egmont) (1804-1892)

German composer, teacher, and conductor. He was a pupil of Carl Friedrich Zelter in Berlin, was taught by Robert Schumann at Leipzig, and was opera conductor at Hamburg and Riga, where he succeeded Richard Wagner in 1839. He later became conductor at the Royal Opera and professor in Berlin.
