Doughty, Thomas (1793–1856)
| US painter. Based in Philadelphia, he was a leather merchant until 1820. He painted landscapes, and was associated with the Hudson River School. He is remembered for his treatment of light in paintings such as In Nature's Wonderland (1836). |
