Dow Jones Industrial Average

Leading index of US stock market prices. The average is based on prices of 30 major companies covering such diverse industries as financial services, technology, retail, entertainment, and consumer goods. It has been calculated and published since 1896 by financial news publisher Dow Jones & Co.
