Dreier, Mary Elisabeth

Dreier, Mary Elisabeth (1875–1963)

US labour reformer and suffragist. She devoted her life to improving working conditions for women. President of the New York Women's Trade Union League (WTUL) (1906–14), she worked for National WTUL until its demise in 1950.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York. A vigorous political activist, she campaigned for suffrage, the Progressive Party, world peace, and nuclear disarmament.
