Drysdale, Don

Drysdale, Don(ald Scott) (1936–1993)

US baseball pitcher. A ferocious competitor, he won 209 games in 14 seasons with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. He became a television broadcaster after retiring from the game. In 1984 he was elected to baseball's Hall of Fame.

He was born in Van Nuys, California. The tall right-hander was nicknamed ‘Big D’.
