Du Page County

County in northeast Illinois; area 873 sq km/337 sq mi; population (1990) 781,700. Wheaton is its administrative headquarters. Although there is still some truck farming in the west, Du Page County has become a sea of Chicago suburbs. Downers Grove, Lisle, and Naperville are on the Illinois Research and Development Corridor. The Argonne National Laboratory and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory are both in the county, as is part of O'Hare International Airport.
