Duchesne, Rose Philippine (1769–1862)| French-born Catholic religious founder and saint. A member of the Order of the Sacred Heart, she was sent to Missouri, where she founded Catholic orphanages and schools. She spent a year among the Potowatami people, who called her ‘the woman who always prays’. |
