Duffy, Brian (1953– )

US astronaut. His four space shuttle flights included commanding the Discovery mission in October 2000 to take equipment and supplies to the International Space Station. He also served as acting deputy director of the Johnson Space Center. Duffy retired from NASA and the US Air Force in 2001 and became vice-president and associate programme manager for the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He was selected as an astronaut in 1985.
